ATCB does offer Retired Status for individuals who are no longer working in the field of art therapy and who would like to retain their connection to their credentials and the organization. In order to apply for Retired Status, your credential(s) must be current and in good standing and you must agree to the terms and conditions as outlined in the Retired Status Application Handbook.

Please note that Retired Status is not permanent; once you are granted Retired Status you may apply to return to active status per the guidelines as outlined in the Retired Status Application Handbook. If you hold the ATR-BC credential and wish to apply for Retired Status during the 12 month period immediately preceding the conclusion of your five-year recertification date, you must first apply to recertify your ATR-BC credential and be approved.

You must apply for Retired Status online via the MyATCB site. The annual maintenance fee of $25 must be paid at the time you apply, and you will be billed thereafter at an annual rate of $25. (please see fee chart).
